DESCRIPTION:  \nDebra Wilson\, President of National Association of Independent School \nJoin Debra Wilson as she shares insights and trends happening nationally \nRSVP with your POCIS representative starting October 1 to receive the Zoom link \nDebra P. Wilson was general counsel for NAIS for 19 years before she became president of the Southern Association of Independent Schools\, the largest regional independent school association in the United States\, in 2019. She grew up in Connecticut\, where she graduated from the Williams School\, an independent school located on the campus of Connecticut College. Debra received her B.A. in English from Sewanee\, The University of the South\, and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. As of August of 2023\, she will be the new president of NAIS. Before joining the NAIS staff\, Debra was a tax litigator at the Department of Justice. She is an avid reader\, photographer\, and cook\, and loves to be outdoors. \nThis event is co-sponsored by POCIS New England\, Nor Cal POCIS\, POCIS-New York\, So Cal POCIS\, and POCIS Seattle \n
