Purpose:

Jesuit education, also known as Ignatian education, is an approach to education inspired by the teachings and principles of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a Catholic religious order. Jesuit education is known for its emphasis on intellectual rigor, moral and ethical development, and the holistic formation of individuals.
